When you have a goal in life, dedication and determination are required to get past the obstacles you'll often encounter on your way to the finish line.  After several years of writing and gaining knowledge about an additional career path, I've finally reached my long-term goal.  Beyond Ikenick Creek is now available from Christian Faith Publishing. It has been a long road with a big learning curve, though.  Researching, creating synopsis and query letters, multiple manuscript edits, and website and social media development were all challenges I was able to overcome.  Thanks to the guidelines, blogs, and interactions with industry experts, I've been able to do what I didn't think was possible.

No matter what your goal, never give up.  Have faith that God will help you reach your goal, even if there are a few detours on the way. 

My family and I attended a country music festival this past weekend, and I have to say how impressed I was with how many artists shared their faith with the audience.   They wore crosses, had lyrics containing Christian beliefs and messages, and were thankful to God for their accomplishments.  Having positive role models for the youth of today is an investment in all of our futures.

This is my very first blog entry...ever!  I've created a website, opened Gmail and Facebook accounts, and started a blog―all in one day.  Now, I just need to buy a smartphone and join other social media sites.  My kids will be so happy that I've finally joined the 21st century!
